Naela Ali is Jakarta-based artist, illustrator, and author. Graduated from Bina Nusantara University majoring in New Media, Visual Communication Design. She has been making books since 2016 and now has published 11 books. Some of them, have been translated into Portuguese and Vietnamese, also has been showcased at London Book Fair, Singapore Art Book Fair, and more. She also collaborated with many brands such as Starbucks, Reckitt, Biore, Instax Indonesia and more.

In 2023, she did art residency in the rural area in Fukuoka, Japan called Itoshima. There she learnt that even the simplest things have meaning. That was the reason she went back to focus on painting to capture the mundane yet meaningful scenes.
