Erik Pauhrizi was living and working as a visual artist in Braunschweig and Berlin from 2009-2013. However since last year he is residing and working in Bandung - Indonesia. He received his B.A. from the Faculty of Art and Design, Bandung Institute of Technology, Cum Laude, and Diplom Freie Kunst Braunschweig University of Art / Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig (HBK) under Prof. Michael Brynntrup.

He worked around the theme of identity and portraits and mainly used painting, sculpture, embroidery, photography, video art and performance as media to visualize his idea.

In 2010 he received an award and grant from the Asian Cultural Council, to pursue a visual art research program, in co-operation with the New Museum, New York - USA. In 2011, he presented his first solo exhibition in New York at the CATM Chelsea, “The Poison of Our Sins“. He also had many solo and group exhibitions throughout Australia, South East Asia, Asia, Europe and USA.
